This policy explains what Former Engineering, LLC collects when you visit formerengineering.com or email us, and what we do with it.
The short version
We don't use analytics, cookies, trackers or forms. The only personal information we receive is what our host records when you visit, and whatever you choose to send us by email. We don't sell it or share it for advertising.
What we collect
- When you visit. Our host keeps a standard log of each request, including your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser type. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure.
- When you email us. Your email address, your name if you include it, and what you write. We use it only to reply and to help with what you asked.
The site sets no cookies, has no forms, and loads nothing from other companies.
Who else handles it
- Vercel hosts this site. It keeps the request logs described above for a limited time under its own privacy policy.
- Google hosts our email through Google Workspace, so messages you send us are stored by Google on our behalf.
We don't sell, rent or share personal information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep email for as long as it helps us help you, and delete it when you ask. Request logs are kept by Vercel, as described above.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email hello@formerengineering.com and we'll do it, or tell you why we can't. This applies wherever you live.
Do Not Track
We don't track you across sites or over time, and no other company can do so through this site. The site works the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has emailed us, tell us and we'll delete the message.
Our software
This policy covers this website and email. Before we release any software, we add a section here that describes what it collects.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we also add a short note at the top of this page for 30 days that says what changed.
